In this lesson, I’ll teach you a bluegrass (and old-time) standard that’s been recorded by everyone from Bill Monroe to Tyler Childers.
It’s often played in “sawmill” tuning (AEAE), but this version’s in standard tuning (GDAE), for those who don’t feel like opening up that particular can of worms!
Although I play it through with double-stops at the beginning of the video, the basic version I’m teaching will be mostly single note.
