Upcoming Workshops

June is shaping up to be a big month for fiddle workshops and fiddle camps.

On June 8 and 9, I’ll be teaching a two-day fiddle workshop at the International Music Camp’s  Fiddler’s Weekend, on the North Dakota-Manitoba border.

This is a workshop I’ve been doing for years and it’s always a lot of fun. At this camp, I’m usually the lone bluegrass fiddler (or one of the few) in a sea of Canadian old-time fiddlers. And bonus: I always usually back across the border with a Canadian fiddle tune or two! Registration and more info here.

On June 20-23, I’ll be in Stillwater, MN, as part of Brian Wicklund’s Fiddle Pal Camp faculty. I’ve been a big fan of Brian’s American Fiddle Method series of instructional books for years, so it’s an honor to be invited to be part of his camp. Note: I’m a last-minute addition; Brian injured a finger on his all-important (for fiddle at least) left hand, so I’ll be filling in for him this year.

The following week, June 27-30, I’ll be doing the Fiddle Pal Camp (same faculty) in Madison, WI.
