Thanks to Bluegrass Today, the bluegrass blog of record, for the nice write-up on The High 48s’ forthcoming CD.

For those of you who are tardy to the party, we’re working on a collection of train songs, new and old, originals and covers. The album will be called Great Northern Railroad (after the title track, which was written by the 48s’ very own Anthony Ihrig) and will be coming out in early March.
Tomorrow we’ll be getting in the van in the early AM to drive down to Nashville, where we’ll be recording with Randy Kohrs, who has produced and engineered some of the best-sounding bluegrass we’ve heard in recent years. We’re super excited! And thanks once again to everyone who contributed to our Kickstarter campaign to help make this happen!
We’ll keep you posted as we work on the album this week, so stay tuned!
Until then!
Your friends,
The High 48s
