Super psyched to be playing Red House Records’ Barnfest with the 48s down in Red Wing, MN on August 4, not only because it’s always fun to be the only bluegrass band at a non-bluegrass festival — we like to feel special! — but because we’ll be sharing the stage with some of our faves.
Guitar genius Dean Magraw (who contributed some brilliant guitar work on my recent fiddle CD) will be playing a rare set with master Irish button accordionist John Williams. Also on the bill will be the fantastic Lucy Kaplansky and Bill Staines. And rumor has it that I’ll be sitting in with Mr. Jon Rodine. Intriguing, you say?
